The New Year at Hollander’s
January 16, 2010
Last week we returned from a trade show in Atlanta where we looked for new and unique products. As we await the arrival of our new product lines, we already have new store displays in place that feature Valentine’s Day cards for kid’s and adults, gift wrap, and journals in our stationery store. Upstairs, in our Kitchen and Home store, we have many great gifts from pink champagne glasses to heart-shaped cookie cutters and ramekins.
We have also put together two full sets of classes for the new year. One is our traditional Book and Paper Arts Workshop Schedule, which is now in its 15th year, while the other is an offering of over 30 new Cooking Classes.
Our Book and Paper Arts workshops begin next weekend with a class in Basic Home Book Repair. The following weekend is a class in Box Making, which focuses on making several structures including the two that are featured in our box making book that was published last year. For those who would like to try their hand at an intriguing book arts structure, check out Jean Buescher’s Flax Book with Woven Tapes at the end of the month.
Our January Cooking Classes also begin next week. At these fast paced, one hour sessions this month, you can learn how to prepare Chicken Cordon Bleu, an International Brunch, Bolognese and Vodka Pasta Sauces, and two South American dishes called Chupe and Arepas. You can also check our website for details of these and future classes.
With all that is new at Hollander’s right now, we hope you get a chance to come in and visit us soon. We plan to continue to send out regular updates of happenings at Hollander’s.
